CIRCE Curriculum
CIRCE 101: Introduction to CIRCE
Training designed for: CIRCE New user
Frequency of training: As needed when - with 4 or more new CIRCE users
Trainers: Ted Snyderman & Robert Underwood HIPAA compliance Officer
Learning Objectives :
- Introduction to CIRCE as a virtual Chart
- Assess of an electronic chart are overviewed: Saves time, Easy access, Reporting, supports time management, expedient Chart sharing and Outcome measures
- Participants will come away understanding clearly that documentation is part of providing good clinical work.
- Future developments of CIRCE; outcome measures – CIRCE 3.0
- Providers come away with the message that they are expected to bill for an equivalent of 5 hours a day of service time, and that totals 100 hours a month per 1 FTE
- ‘Chart health’ is the term used at FSA for good documentation skills
- Introduction to HIPAA standards and policy – signatures obtained from all new users on HIPAA policy
- All participants are able to pass the CIRCE 101 Exam
CIRCE 201: Documentation Basics
Training designed for: All familiar CIRCE Users
Frequency of training: Every 3 months or as needed
Trainers: Jeff Schoenfeld & Ted Snyderman
Learning Objectives:
- Introduction to FSA Documentation Standards as issued in CIRCE Policy and Procedure Manual (to be written and approved by CIRCE Advisory Committee by 12/17/08)
- Participants understand that documentation is 30% of their job descriptions, and good documentation leads to excellent care
- Features of CIRCE that help clinicians design and update treatment plans of care (this will obviously be evolving as we introduce CIRCE 3.0)
- The ability to write an excellent progress note – using PIRP method (Problem, Intervention, Client Response and Plan)
- The ability to design and write a good Plan of Care – the essential of good care planning are touched on/reviewed from the Engagement Assessment and planning training.
- Providers will be able to write a good plan of care with observable, measurable and reasonable treatment objectives and interventions.
- Providers will pass a CIRCE 201 test on documentation to be able to complete this course requirement.
CIRCE 301: Advanced Documentation and CIRCE Reporting
Training designed for: Supervisors, support staff and
Frequency of training: Every 2 months or as needed
Trainers: Ted Snyderman & Tree Tether
Learning Objectives:
- Introduction to supervision with CIRCE
- How to build a basic report
- How to supervise using a report
- Reconciliation policy and procedure
- How to find out information in CIRCE using CIRCE development team support
- How to get changes made in CIRCE through the CIRCE advisory Committee
- Manages, support staff and supervisors will pass a CIRCE 301 test on documentation to be able to complete this course requirement.
